Cs: Nad vyprahlou krajinou se tyčil starý větrný mlýn.
En: Above the parched landscape stood an old windmill.

Cs: Silueta mlýna byla obklopena šedivou oblohou, jako by měl být posledním strážcem naděje.
En: The silhouette of the mill was surrounded by a gray sky, as if it were to be the last guardian of hope.

Cs: V této tiché, pusté zemi žila malá komunita, která se snažila přežít a najít ztracenou energii minulosti.
En: In this quiet, desolate land lived a small community striving to survive and find the lost energy of the past.

Cs: Jakub stál opřený o zábradlí mlýna a díval se do dálky.
En: Jakub stood leaning on the railing of the mill, gazing into the distance.

En: “We have to go further and search!” Jakub knew he had to decide.

Cs: Myšlenka na riskantní výpravu ho zdrtila, ale vzpomínka na rozesmáté tváře dětí ve světle lamp mu dodala odvahu.
En: The thought of a risky expedition weighed heavily on him, but the memory of children’s smiling faces in the light of lamps gave him courage.

Cs: Po krátké pauze konečně promluvil.
