Hr: Ulaz u policijsku postaju bio je tiha oaza u usporedbi s užurbanom tržnicom iz koje je Ivana upravo došla.
En: Entering the police station was a quiet oasis compared to the bustling market Ivana had just left.

Hr: Postaja je bila smještena među šarenim jesenskim lišćem u Zagrebu, a sunce se jedva probijalo kroz oblake.
En: The station was nestled among the colorful autumn leaves in Zagreb, and the sun barely pierced through the clouds.

Hr: Ivana je duboko udahnula i zakoračila unutra, osjećajući težinu svoje uobičajene tjeskobe.

Hr: "Ima važnih papira unutra", nastavila je, gledajući ga u oči.
En: "There are important papers inside," she continued, looking him in the eye.

Hr: "Projekt za moje učenike.
En: "A project for my students.

Hr: Ne mogu bez toga.
En: I can't do without it."

Hr: "Marko, mladi policajac s pristojnim osmijehom, prolazio je kraj i uhvatio trenutak kada su Ivanine oči zasuzile.
En: Marko, a young policeman with a polite smile, was passing by and caught the moment when Ivana's eyes began to tear up.

Hr: Osjetio je njezinu brigu.

Hr: "Gospođice, možemo razgovarati?
