Hr: U jesensko popodne, vjetar je nemilosrdno puhao iznad zemlje.
En: On a fall afternoon, the wind mercilessly blew above the land.

Hr: U daljini se čula grmljavina koja je ispunjavala zrak.
En: Thunder could be heard in the distance, filling the air.

Hr: Pod zemljom, u toplini sjenovitog skloništa, Luka i Ana su čekali da oluja prođe.
En: Under the ground, in the warmth of a shady shelter, Luka and Ana were waiting for the storm to pass.

Hr: Luka je bio stariji brat, s ozbiljnom notom na licu dok je provjeravao zalihe hrane.
En: Luka, the older brother, had a serious look on his face as he checked the food supplies.

Hr: Ana, mlađa sestra, sjedila je na podu i crtala s bojicama.
En: Ana, the younger sister, sat on the floor and drew with crayons.

Hr: Njena mašta je letjela daleko izvan granica skloništa.
En: Her imagination flew far beyond the confines of the shelter.

Hr: "Luka, kada ćemo moći izaći?
En: "Luka, when can we go outside?"

Hr: " pitala je s nadom u očima.
En: she asked with hope in her eyes.

Hr: "Još malo, Ana.
En: "A little longer, Ana.

Hr: Oluja je prejaka," odgovorio je Luka, prijateljski ali čvrsto.
En: The storm is too strong," replied Luka, friendly but firmly.

Hr: Znao je koliko Ana voli avanture, ali sigurnost je bila najvažnija.
En: He knew how much Ana loved adventures, but safety was the most important.

Hr: Sklonište su činili stari drveni stolci, zeleni metalni ormarići puni konzervi, i radio koji je povremeno škripao s vijestima o vremenu.
En: The shelter consisted of old wooden chairs, green metal cabinets full of cans, and a radio that occasionally crackled with weather updates.

Hr: Zvučno je izoliran od oluje, ali tiho zavijanje vjetra moglo se čuti iznad.
En: It was soundproofed from the storm, but the soft howling of the wind could be heard above.

Hr: Ana je ustala i počela istraživati prostor.
En: Ana stood up and began exploring the space.

Hr: Dotakla je svaku stvar, gledajući sa znatiželjom.
En: She touched everything, looking with curiosity.

Hr: Usprkos Luki, njena ruka kliznula je do krajnjeg kraja skloništa gdje se nalazio mali poklopac koji je vodio vani.
En: Despite Luka, her hand slid to the far end of the shelter where there was a small hatch leading outside.

Hr: "Luka, što je ovo?
En: "Luka, what's this?"

Hr: " upitala je, oči sjajne od iščekivanja.
En: she asked, eyes gleaming with anticipation.

Hr: Luka se brzo okrenuo.
En: Luka turned quickly.

Hr: "Ana, molim te, ostani ovdje.
En: "Ana, please stay here.

Hr: Vanjska vrata su opasna sada.
En: The outside door is dangerous now."

Hr: "Međutim, Ana je bila uporni istraživač.
En: However, Ana was a persistent explorer.

Hr: Nakon nekoliko trenutaka, dok je Luka bio zauzet, tiho se šuljala do vratanca.
En: After a few moments, while Luka was busy, she quietly crept to the hatch.

Hr: Nada, uzbuđenje i nemir iz njezine mašte bili su neodoljivi.
En: Hope, excitement, and restlessness from her imagination were irresistible.

Hr: Tada se dogodilo ono neizbježno.
En: Then the inevitable happened.
