Story Transcript:
Sv: Snön föll tyst över den vidsträckta landskapet i Lappland.
En: The snow fell silently over the vast landscape of Lappland.
En: Axel caught his breath and felt the cold nip at his cheeks.
Sv: Det här var hans chans.
En: This was his chance.
En: A school field trip in archaeology might sound boring to some, but for Axel, it was an opportunity to make history.
En: Lars, his best friend, stood next to him and looked out over the endless white sea of snow.
En: "Elin says they've found an old stone wall down there," said Lars, pointing towards the group's excavation.
En: But Axel's thoughts lingered on an area further away, further than anyone had dug before.
En: Axel looked at Elin, who, despite the cold, looked eager.
En: She held a paper with maps and notes.
En: "Come on, Axel," she shouted with a smile.
Sv: Men Axel hade en annan plan.
En: But Axel had a different plan.
En: He wanted to go further, try his luck in an unknown place.
Sv: Kanske skulle han hitta något viktigt.
En: Maybe he'd find something important.
En: Artifacts that could surprise his teachers, perhaps a find important enough to earn special praise.
En: He began to walk, step by step away from the others.
En: The wind became more biting as he distanced himself.
En: Axel's heart beat faster, not from the cold but from anticipation.
En: Soon he was at a place where the snow wasn't as deep.
En: With his brush and small spade, he started to dig.
Sv: Fingrarna var stela men han fortsatte.
En: His fingers were stiff, but he continued.
En: After what felt like hours, he struck something hard.
En: There, well hidden under the snow, lay something that looked like an old bronze object.
En: Axel's eyes were almost dazzled by his own success.
Sv: Men triumfen blev kort.
En: But the triumph was short-lived.
En: When he looked up, he realized he had gone too far.
Sv:...
