Pl: Wzgórza Mazowsza otaczały szkołę jak zielona kołdra.
En: The Wzgórza Mazowsza surrounded the school like a green quilt.

Pl: Liście na drzewach zaczynały lekko żółknąć, a kwiaty otulone ciepłym słońcem późnego lata wciąż kwitły.
En: The leaves on the trees were beginning to turn slightly yellow, and the flowers, bathed in the warm late summer sun, were still in bloom.

Pl: Internat, zbudowany z kamienia, przypominał mały zamek.
En: The boarding house, built of stone, resembled a small castle.

Pl: Dla Kasi, Piotra i Ani, to miejsce miało stać się nowym domem.
En: For Kasia, Piotr, and Ania, this place was about to become their new home.

Pl: Kasia, najstarsza z rodzeństwa, patrzyła na szkołę z determinacją.
