En: White houses gleamed in the sun, and the narrow streets were almost empty due to the low tourist season.
En: The air carried a cool touch, a harbinger of autumn.
En: Dionysia, full of energy and determination, was heading toward the port.
En: She desperately wanted to travel to Athens for the carnival.

En: Alkmene was trying to maintain balance between them, aiming for peace.
En: As they arrived at the port, their hopes rusted.
En: The ferry strike left them stranded in Santorini, limiting their options.
El: «Πρέπει να φύγουμε!
En: "We have to leave!"

En: "It's dangerous, and it might not be legal," he explained.
En: Alkmene, however, suggested they wait one more day.
