El: Η βροχή άρχισε να πέφτει εντελώς ξαφνικά.
En: The rain started to fall completely unexpectedly.

El: Στα μονοπάτια του Βοτανικού Κήπου Αθηνών, η Δάφνη συνοφρυώθηκε καθώς αναγκάστηκε να σταματήσει τον περίπατό της.
En: On the paths of the Botanikou Kipou Athinon, Daphne frowned as she was forced to stop her walk.

El: Ήθελε τόσο πολύ να περιπλανηθεί μόνη και να συναντήσει τις φίλες της, αλλά κάτι την κράτησε πίσω.
En: She so wanted to wander alone and meet her friends, but something held her back.

El: Η μαμά της, η Αλέξια, ήταν δίπλα της με το χέρι απλωμένο, στρέφοντας την προσοχή της στην ουράνια βροχή.

El: Ο ήχος των στρατιωτικών εμβατηρίων από τα ηχεία θύμιζε στην Αλέξια τις παλιές μέρες, όταν πήγαινε κι εκείνη παιδί σε τέτοιες γιορτές.
En: The sound of military marches from the speakers reminded Alexia of the old days when she used to attend such celebrations as a child.

El: Ήθελε να περάσει αυτές τις αναμνήσεις και στη Δάφνη, που μεγάλωνε γρήγορα.
En: She wanted to pass on these memories to Daphne, who was growing up fast.

El: Στον ασφαλές αντίσκηνο, πήραν στη σειρά από ένα ζεστό ρόφημα.
En: Under the safe shelter, they each took a warm drink.

El: Η Δάφνη ρούφηξε την καφέειδα της και κοίταξε γύρω της.
En: Daphne sipped her coffee and looked around.

El: Έβλεπε παιδιά της ηλικίας της να γελάνε και να παίζουν, και η καρδιά της πέταξε να είναι μαζί τους.
En: She saw children her age laughing and playing, and her heart longed to be with them.
