FOF #2439 - The Doll Life: Living La Vida Lolita

Dolly fashion, or as it’s better known in Japan as Lolita is all about putting babydoll dresses, frills and bows inspired by classic Victorian literature like Anne of Green Gables. Lolita may have started on the streets of Japan but now it has conquered the world. You can see it popping up everywhere at cosplay conventions and drag shows.

Joining us to talk about Lolita fashion is Steven Lopez, who plays the assistant to fashion designer Cyril Lumoy on the reality TV show “The Doll Life” which follows the behind-the-scenes antics of the dolly fashion brand Dolldelight.

Listen as we chat with Steven about everything you wanted to know about Lolita fashion but were afraid to come across as a creep, how to put a good look together and what his parents thought the first time they saw him as a little doll.
