Ep 1207 | The Rooney Rule Is Dead And The NFL Won't Let ESPN Save It | Todd Bowles & Aaron Glenn In Trouble

Baker Mayfield's contract decision puts Todd Bowles on the hottest seat in football AND exposes the death of the Rooney Rule and why the NFL won't let ESPN try to save it. Jason Whitlock connects the dots: the NFL's 10% ESPN stake, Ryan Clark out, Pat McAfee up, Stephen A. Smith turned down. With three black head coaches left after 10 openings and zero hires over the off-season, Whitlock makes the biblical case for meritocracy over identity politics: God is no respecter of persons. The NFL's grievance era is over. ➢ Show Outline 00:00 - Baker Mayfield, Todd Bowles, and the Race Card 02:03 - The Rooney Rule's Last Days 04:30 - The NFL Buys ESPN and Changes the Game 06:09 - ESPN Cleans House: The End of the Grievance Machine 08:29 - Todd Bowles and Aaron Glenn: Performance Over Politics 12:47 - The NFL as Black America's Best Meritocracy 16:22 - The Grievance Era Is Over 23:33 - College Basketball and the Shrinking Coaching Pool 46:07 - NIL Money vs. Coaching Ambitions 54:55 - Kyle Shanahan's Accident Revisited 01:06:19 - Tony Romo's DUI and the Media Double Standard ➢ Follow Our GUESTS https://www.youtube.com/@DreAllDay https://x.com/SteveKim323 ➢ Subscribe to Jason's other channel https://www.youtube.com/JasonWhitlock?sub_confirmation=1 https://www.youtube.com/@JasonWhitlockHarmony?sub_confirmation=1 https://www.youtube.com/@JasonWhitlockBYOG?sub_confirmation=1 https://www.youtube.com/@JasonWhitlockClips?sub_confirmation=1 ➢ Connect with Jason on Social Media:  https://x.com/JasonWhitlock  https://www.instagram.com/realjasonwhitlock/ https://www.facebook.com/jasonwhitlock ➢ Send Jason an Email [email protected] ➢ Support The Blaze Visit https://TheBlaze.com.
