Fantasy Hockey Life Ep. 317 Hadi Kalakeche on the 2024 rookie draft for newbs

The 2024 NHL draft is right around the corner. Hadi Kalakeche of Dobber Prospects joins the show to discuss.

Jesse asks Hadi and Victor the questions a fantasy player just starting to prep for this draft wants to know.

• Who are the top players?
• How does the draft stack up against recent years, especially at the forward and defenseman positions?
• Where are the tier drops for fantasy?
• Which leagues are having better or worse years producing prospects?
• Which players will rank more highly for fantasy than for NHL teams, and vice-versa?
• Who will combine elite BASH with scoring?
• What keywords should you look for in scouting reports to figure out who you want to draft?
• And how badly will you regret it if you trade away a top pick?

We talk Macklin Celebrini, Ivan Demidov, Zayne Parekh, Zeev Buium, Sam Dickinson, Artyom Levhunov, Anton Silayev, Cole Eiserman, Adam Jiricek, Aron Kiviharju, Ryerson Leenders, Carter George, Marcus Gildof, Eemil Vinni, Berkley Catton, Trevor Connelly, Luke Misa, Cayden Lindstrom, Miguel Marques, John Mustard, and Raoul Boilard.
