04/13: History suggests that Kentucky and Creighton's national title chances for 2021 are now in danger

Two projected top-five teams lost players to NBA draft declarations in the past couple of days: Creighton with Ty-Shon Alexander and Kentucky with Immanuel Quickley. Neither is a stunner, but both are expected to remain in the draft pool, which easily pokes both out of Parrish's way-too-early rankings. This pod opens up with some chatter on those decisions, and then at the 11:40 mark an exploration into what it means for teams with national championship aspirations to have top-60 prospects opt to return to school. From there, how about this: Stanford just beat out blue bloods and got its highest-ranked commitment from a player in more than 15 years (20:10). A nice change of pace. To wrap the pod, Norlander has the tallies in (28:00): the final standings on our against-the-spread picks from the season AND our preseason picks for over/under totals for 14 teams. Who won? What were the biggest misses? Enjoy -- and we wish the best for you and your families. Our continued thanks, gratitude and awe to those who work on the front lines -- be it in hospitals, in delivery, at grocery stores, and all other essential matters -- we thank you. We cannot thank you enough.Eye on College Basketball' is available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, Google Podcasts, Castbox and wherever you listen to podcasts.
