The Servant Jesus Called Wicked and Lazy

Will people be judged for failing to use what God has entrusted to them? In Matthew 25, Jesus tells the parable of the talents—a sobering picture of servants awaiting the return of their master.

Pastor Brian Gunter continues his series through the Olivet Discourse, examining what this parable teaches about faithfulness, stewardship, and our responsibility while we await Christ’s return. God has entrusted His people with gifts, opportunities, resources, and time—and He expects His servants to put them to work for His kingdom.

What does it mean to bury your talent? Why was the unfaithful servant condemned? And what does this warning mean for Christians today?

The Christian life is not one of passive waiting. Christ calls His people to faithful, fruitful service until He comes.
