If You Don’t Love the Church, You Don’t Love Jesus

Can you truly love Christ while remaining indifferent toward His church?

In this final message through the Olivet Discourse, Pastor Brian Gunter examines Matthew 25 and Jesus’ separation of the sheep and the goats. Christ identifies Himself with His people so closely that how they are treated is counted as treatment of Christ Himself.

What does this passage reveal about genuine faith? What separates the sheep from the goats? And what does Jesus’ warning mean for Christians who claim to love Him while neglecting His church?

Drawing from Matthew 24–25, Acts 9, and the broader testimony of Scripture, Brian challenges church apathy, nominal Christianity, and division while calling believers to love, serve, and faithfully care for the body of Christ.

Matthew 25 brings the Olivet Discourse to its climactic picture of judgment and separation.
