Christian, Your Mission Is to Plunder the Nations!

What does it mean for Christians to “plunder the nations”?

George Sayour traces this biblical theme from Israel’s exodus out of Egypt through Solomon, the prophets, and the nations coming to Christ.

Drawing from Exodus, 1 Kings, Isaiah, Luke, Acts, Zechariah, and the early church fathers, George argues that God’s purposes were never confined to one nation or one piece of land.

The mission expands outward as the gospel goes to the nations and the treasures, cultures, wisdom, and peoples of the world are brought under the lordship of Christ.

This is not conquest by the sword, but gospel conquest: proclaiming peace, calling the nations to repentance, and gathering the treasures of the world into Christ’s kingdom.
