Wake County votes to approve Five County Stadium lease with WRAL parent company

Wake County, Zebulon, and Capitol Broadcasting Company have signed a lease agreement to transform Five County Stadium. Starting January 1, 2026, Capitol Broadcasting will manage the stadium's operations until 2035, paying up to $710,000 in lease payments and sharing in naming rights revenue. Wake County and Zebulon will invest over $10 million in improvements, including a synthetic field, new outfield walls, modern locker rooms, and fresh family spaces.
