Terrell Owens Calls Out Jerry Jones | Durham News

Terrell Owens is blasting Jerry Jones, accusing him of selling fans a fantasy of success that’s never materializing. The Cowboys’ former star, who played for Dallas from 2006-2008, says Jones—whose 1989 $140 million buyout now pays off with a $17B valuation—needs to step back and bring in new leadership. While Jones led the team to three Super Bowls early on, the drought since 1996 has been brutal, with recent seasons ending in disappointing 7-9 records. Owens compares Jones to Donald Trump, calling him a master of rhetoric over results. With the team failing to deliver on-field consistency after decades of financial triumph, Owens insists Jones is misleading supporters with empty promises.
