Tar Heels' Offense Falters in Loss to Wake Forest
North Carolinas football team suffered a disappointing loss to Wake Forest, with their offense struggling significantly. The teams only points came from senior kicker Rece Verhoff, who made four field goals, including a school-record fifty-seven-yard kick before halftime. The Tar Heels failed to score a touchdown for the first time since 2016. The teams defense performed better than their offense, but still gave up over four hundred total yards and two long touchdowns. North Carolinas offense continues to struggle in the red zone, ranking one hundred fourteenth in the nation. The team needs to win their remaining two games to become bowl eligible, but their self-inflicted mistakes and red zone inefficiencies make this goal much more challenging. DNN | The Daily News Now!
