Starbucks Workers Strike on Busy Day, Demand Better Pay

On November 13th, over a thousand Starbucks workers plan to strike at sixty-five stores across the U.S., protesting slow labor negotiations. The strike coincides with Starbucks busiest day, Red Cup Day. Starbucks Workers United, the union representing these baristas, demands higher pay, better hours, and addresses unfair labor practices. Starbucks maintains it offers competitive wages and benefits, but workers allege retaliation for unionizing and policy changes. The strike aims to draw public attention to their concerns.
