Race for Zebulon mayor heats up in booming Wake County community

In Zebulon's mayoral race, incumbent Mayor Glenn York faces four challengers, including former town manager Gilbert Todd Junior, who resigned after being asked to take unethical actions. Todd Junior aims to restore stability and attract new development. Former board member Larry Loucks emphasizes teamwork and addresses public safety and high taxes. Current Commissioner Shannon Baxter, who recently recovered from breast cancer, focuses on infrastructure, affordable housing, and green spaces. With a winner-take-all election and low voter turnout, every vote could decide the close race. DNN | The Daily News Now! The world’s first global local news network. Every city. Every story.
