Practical Magic 2 stormed back to 1 with a $30M opening, proving sequels still enchant audiences—Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman reign supreme as the Owens sisters, joined by fresh witches like Joey King and Maisie Williams. Critics may miss the original’s campy charm, but the duo’s chemistry keeps magic alive. Meanwhile, Spider-Man: Brand New Day slips after six weeks, still raking in $8.4M and over $900M domestically, while Nolan’s The Odyssey hits $600M globally—Universal’s biggest ever. Newcomer Runner (Alan Ritchson, Owen Wilson) lands fourth with $6.7M, and South Korean sci-fi Hope debuts eighth, with Greengrass’s The Uprising rounding out the top nine. Box office chaos continues—old magic, new contenders, and numbers never stop shifting.
