NC DMV Wait Times: Progress & Challenges

North Carolina DMV Wait Times: A Mixed Bag of Progress and ChallengesThe I-Teams investigation reveals a mixed bag of progress and challenges in North Carolina DMV wait times. While many locations saw improvements, long waits persist for many residents. The data shows that overall wait times have decreased by more than an hour on average since July, thanks to Senate Bill two forty-five allowing certain transactions online. However, sixty percent of DMV offices still have average wait times exceeding one hour, with twenty-three percent facing average waits of over two hours. New scanners and online waitlist systems are expected to further speed up transactions. DNN | The Daily News Now! The world’s first global local news network. Every city. Every story. AI powered.
