Murderer Hides in Plain Sight

A Florida mothers disappearance on Mothers Day in 2018 led to a shocking discovery: a murderer hiding in plain sight. Joleen Cummings, a 34-year-old mother of three, failed to pick up her children after work, triggering a police investigation. Her car was found abandoned in a Home Depot parking lot, and security footage showed an unknown person exiting the vehicle. The last person to see Joleen was a new co-worker named Jennifer Sybert, who left the scene when police arrived. A forensic examination of the salon revealed traces of blood, indicating a homicide. Sybert was arrested at a highway rest area, charged with grand theft auto, and found guilty of first-degree murder and grand theft auto. She was sentenced to life in prison without parole for murdering and dismembering Joleen, who was remembered as a beautiful person and a devoted mother. DNN | The Daily News Now!
