On November third, a standoff in eastern North Carolina ended in a fatal shooting involving deputies and local man Timothy Glenn Gaskill Junior. Gaskill allegedly threatened deputies with a sai and a crossbow, leading to his death after he pointed the crossbow at the Special Response Team.
