Keisha Lance Bottoms: Georgia Governor Race

Former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms is running for Georgias governorship, aiming to become the first Atlanta mayor to hold the states top office. She faces a crowded Democratic primary and potential scrutiny from Republicans over her handling of crime, public order, and the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite challenges, Bottoms has advantages like executive experience, national fundraising connections, and being the only Black woman in the Democratic field. However, her mayoral record, including her response to protests and unrest in 2020, may pose hurdles in her campaign. DNN | The Daily News Now! The world’s first global local news network.
