Duke's ACC Title, Playoff Hopes Hang in Balance

Duke Universitys football team, after a remarkable turnaround, won their first ACC championship since 1962. Despite their historic victory, their path to the College Football Playoff is challenging due to their unranked status and non-conference losses. The team, including linebacker Luke Mergott and head coach Manny Diaz, argue their case, citing their seven wins against Power Four opponents. However, they face an uphill battle, with Tulane, another conference champion, likely to rank higher. The final playoff selections are due today, and Duke hopes the committee acknowledges their impressive turnaround and championship victory. DNN | The Daily News Now!
