Charlie Kulp Shatters Duke Records

Charlie Kulp, a freshman from Chatham, New Jersey, is making waves in his inaugural season with Duke Blue Devils, particularly in the mens mid-distance freestyle group. He recently set a new program record in the five-hundred-yard freestyle event at the Wolfpack Elite Invitational, clocking in at four minutes, twenty-one point two-nine seconds. This achievement not only won him the event but also placed him at number one in school history. Kulps impressive performance extends beyond this event, as he also secured a strong finish in the two-hundred-yard freestyle prelims and swept both events in Dukes home opener against Boston College. His strong control, disciplined approach, and confident finish have earned him a significant role in Dukes swimming program, offering both immediate depth and long-term potential.
