Bridge Named After Doctor Hedrick
Doctor William W. Hedrick, a revered family physician, will have a bridge named after him in Wake County, North Carolina. The U.S. four hundred one crossing the Neuse River will bear his name, honoring his sixty-one-year career and deep community roots. The bridge holds special significance as its where he crossed countless times during his service. The idea was initiated by his wife, Merrie, and supported by the City of Raleigh, Wake County commissioners, and the Town of Wake Forest. Doctor Hedrick, now ninety-one, expressed gratitude for this honor, which joins others hes received, including the Order of the Long Leaf Pine. DNN | The Daily News Now!
