Afghan Refugee Shooting Sparks Fear of Backlash

Fear and concern grip Afghan refugees in America following a shooting incident involving an Afghan national, Rahmanullah Lakanwal, who allegedly shot two National Guard soldiers. Lakanwal, a former CIA-backed Afghan Army unit member, had his asylum approved after a thorough vetting process. Refugee groups express worry that entire communities may face unfair backlash due to this incident, urging the country to recognize the actions of one person, not to unfairly judge others.
