Falcons' off course now with Michael Penix Jr. season ending injury

Carl and Mike open up the show with Falcons talk as they react to the news of Michael Penix Jr. set to have season ending surgery to repair a partially torn ACL. As they discuss and share their thoughts, they agree in feeling bad for the second year QB, however they believe the situation places the Falcons in a position in which they have to "protect themselves" in regards to how they decide to move forward with Penix Jr.'s absence.
