Gaza: Israel denies targeting Red Cross medics
The Israeli military has sought to defend its actions in Gaza a week ago when its troops fired upon a convoy of vehicles, killing fifteen paramedics, civil defence workers and a UN worker. An Israeli spokesman said there had been no random shooting and militants had been targeted. We hear from Olga Cherevko of the UN office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Gaza. Also, a woman has been pulled alive from the rubble of a collapsed building in Myanmar's capital, four days after a huge earthquake that left thousands dead. And the Great Gatsby turns a hundred - why does it still speak to us today?(Photo: Palestinians gather around a body as they mourn medics, who came under Israeli fire while on a rescue mission, after their bodies were recovered, according to the Red Cross, at Nasser hospital in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip March 31, 2025.
