Netflix announces another Roast of sorts, Spotify's Top Comedy Podcasts, and Scrubs Reboot

Johnny Mac discusses a range of topics in his daily comedy news update, starting with a humorous anecdote about mistakenly going to a friend's ship to watch Jim Gaffigan's special, which he could have watched on Hulu.

He covers Netflix's new roast announcement set for December 27th, expressing skepticism about its potential success. Spotify's top podcasts are highlighted, with Joe Rogan topping the comedy category. The possibility of a 'Scrubs' reboot is touched upon, along with Pete Davidson's reveal of SNL cast salaries.

The controversial withdrawal of John Oliver's show from the Critics Choice Awards is mentioned, and Andrew Schultz's response to Kendrick Lamar's lyrics is recapped. Finally, Johnny reports on Yamanika Saunders' new special, Jonathan Van Ness' upcoming show on Veeps, SketchFest events, a Gallagher documentary, and the passing of comedian Kabir Singh.
