Night Watch: Wife Fell 24-Floors to Her Death. Her Husband Last Saw Her Alive

In January 2024, Caitlin Tracey made a frantic call to 911. “Please hurry,” she told the dispatcher, reporting that her husband had assaulted her before. Months later, Caitlin was found dead at the bottom of a high-rise stairwell in Chicago’s South Loop. Investigators would later come to believe her 24-foot fall was no accident. In this episode of Night Watch, Katie Ring examines the life and death of Caitlin Tracey — a successful tech executive, devoted daughter and sister, and a woman who repeatedly sought help amid escalating domestic violence. We trace a documented pattern of abuse across two states, the warning signs recorded in police reports and court filings, and the events leading up to the night Caitlin was last seen alive.
