Legal Expert Breaks Down Hawaii Doctor Accused of Trying to Push Wife Off Cliff | Crime House 24/7

In this special extended discussion, Vanessa Richardson is joined by attorney and legal analyst Kelly Hyman to take a deeper look at the attempted murder trial of Dr. Gerhardt Konig, a Maui anesthesiologist accused of trying to kill his wife during a birthday hike in Hawaii. Prosecutors allege that Konig lured his wife, Arielle Konig, to the edge of a cliff, attempted to push her over, and then attacked her with a rock before fleeing when bystanders intervened. Konig has pleaded not guilty, with the defense arguing the incident was a spontaneous fight and an act of self-defense. Vanessa and Kelly break down how prosecutors are building their case using eyewitness testimony, physical evidence, and the defendant’s alleged statements after the attack; and what it takes to prove intent in an attempted murder trial where the victim survived and is the key witness.
