First Watch: Methanol Coverups in Laos & a Montana Killer Called Out in Court

A dream backpacking adventure in Southeast Asia ends in tragedy when free shots at a busy Laos hostel leave multiple tourists critically ill and three young women dead, including 19-year-old Australians Holly Morton Bowles and Bianca Jones, while grieving families fight for justice amid silence from local authorities. Later, Katie examines the haunting case of 35-year-old Montana contractor Dustin Kjersem, whose girlfriend discovered his mutilated body in a remote campsite. She initially believed he had been mauled by a bear, only for investigators to uncover a human attacker, white supremacist ties, and a jury that rejected Daren Abbey’s shifting self defense story.
