Cults & Cons: Jen Shah, the Hustle That Didn’t Hustle Back

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast her as a larger-than-life personality with an enormous entourage, designer everything, and a lifestyle that demanded constant explanation. What Jen Shah didn't explain, until federal agents showed up at a cast event, was that her business empire was built on a telemarketing fraud scheme that targeted thousands of vulnerable people across the country, many of them elderly. She pled guilty in 2022 and was sentenced to six and a half years in federal prison. In today's first episode of Cults & Cons, Sabrina Deana-Roga and Corinne Vien look at the mechanics of the scheme, the victims it left behind, and what the cameras captured that nobody thought to question. And for more cases just like this one, be sure to check out the Crime House Original, Crimes Of Reddit. If you’re new here, don’t forget to follow Crime House 24/7 to never miss a case!
