Written By Noctevoire (House Of White Noise)
Raised in an unnaturally, suffocatingly quiet Pennsylvaniaestate, Veronica leaves her family behind to build a life in New York City withher fiancé, Matt, only to receive frantic, nonsensical phone calls years laterfrom her deteriorating mother warning her about "too much noise."
After her mother dies from self-inflicted wounds, Veronicainherits the decaying mansion and moves back in, where she and Matt discover ahidden room containing an old 1930s television playing static—the source of ahigh electric bill. When Veronica turns off the TV to restore the house's absolutesilence, the walls and ceiling are immediately battered by violent thumps andunholy, demonic shrieks, revealing that the white noise was actually acting asa barrier to keep horrific, unseen entities at bay.
Terrified, she flips the television back on to silence themonsters, trapping her and Matt in a cold, fractured existence, haunted by therealization that her mother sacrificed herself to keep the static running andthat the deafening silence of the estate will eventually consume them both.
