When Jack rescues a neighborhood boy from a hidden sinkhole in Jacksonville, Florida, his curiosity leads him back into the cavern where locals unknowingly trap him inside by sealing the entrance, forcing him to trek deep into a subterranean tunnel network to find a way out. Deep underground, Jack stumbles upon a hooded cult sacrificing live victims to Ree-Ogga, a towering, tentacled cosmic monstrosity.

After sneaking out through the cult's secret exit, Jack breaks into a member's house, steals their encoded texts, and uncovers a secret society that has fed the ancient alien entity for decades. Armed with dynamite, gasoline, and a shotgun, Jack crashes their next ritual, blowing up the creature and burning the cult's enclave before escaping into the night—only to discover from the deciphered texts that Ree-Ogga’s arrival heralds the imminent end of the world.
