A Man Called the Cops to Report a Beeswarm Attack. The Truth Was Far Worse.

Deputy Ray Delacroix responds to an early-morning call from Warren Heath, a quiet farm supply worker who calmly reports that his wife, Nell, and her brother, Curtis, have vanished. Warren weaves an eerie, fantastical story about a strange jar of roadside honey that drove his wife and brother to a hypnotic trance, ultimately leading them to be swarmed and consumed by bees at an ancient hollow oak.

However, as Deputy Ray investigates the home and coordinates with his fellow deputy at the scene, Warren’s supernatural tale unravels to reveal a grim reality: Warren murdered both Nell and Curtis to stop them from selling family land that wouldn't cover his crippling debts.

Uncovering Warren's raw, blistered hands from burying the bodies with a shovel, Ray arrests him, leaving behind the tragic truth of a financial motive masked by a bizarre fiction.
