In the immediate aftermath of the Annunciation Catholic School shooting, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and several GOP lawmakers rushed to blame transgender identity for the tragedy. Greene posted on X that “today’s evil church school shooter was a trans who was likely groomed and transitioned as a teenager,” despite no evidence linking the shooter’s gender identity to the act of violence.
