Illegal Order Conspiracy

The Alleged Order: According to The Washington Post and other outlets, Hegseth directed commanders to ensure no survivors remained after a strike on a suspected drug boat. A second strike was carried out against two individuals clinging to wreckage.
Legal Concerns: Former military lawyers (JAGs) issued a memo stating that both the order and its execution constitute an “unambiguous war crime” under U.S. and international law.
Public Reaction: Judge Andrew Napolitano, a former Fox News colleague of Hegseth, publicly declared that Hegseth and others involved “should be prosecuted for a war crime.”
