Congress' focus on the needs of illegal aliens, at the expense of actually deterring the lawlessness, is making the situation worse. Sending more aid to them without funding ICE detention and repatriation programs just forces our enforcement agents to spend even more time and diverts more agents away from the border. In the end, it doesn’t even help the conditions for the illegal immigrants anyway.
