STAR FOX Standalone Film Starring Glen Powell Incoming?

Glen Powell might actually drag a full Star Fox standalone movie into existence -- the Top Gun hotshot who cold-called Illumination after the first Mario flick begging to voice Fox McCloud just got handed the role in Super Mario Galaxy as a surprise crossover, and now Illumination's CEO is openly admitting Powell's lifelong dream was always a solo Star Fox film. Yeah the guy turned a random pitch into on-screen barrel rolls and suddenly Nintendo's rules on mixing IPs don't seem so ironclad anymore -- after decades of radio silence on the franchise this could be the sneaky backdoor that finally launches Fox, Falco, and the Arwing squad into their own theatrical dogfight instead of Smash Bros cameos.
