The Devil Wears Prada 2 just crushed Mortal Kombat 2 at the box office -- yeah the fashion sequel held the No. 1 spot in its second weekend with a rock-solid $43 million domestic while the new fighting game flick opened soft at $40 million stateside and a lukewarm $63 million worldwide. Miranda Priestly and the Runway crew basically told Shao Kahn to finish himself -- Prada 2 already passed the original film's entire lifetime gross, pushed Disney past $2 billion YTD, and proved once again that killer cast chemistry and timely satire still pack theaters way harder than pixelated fatalities and R-rated gore.
