Watson Stays In, Browns Face Buccaneers | Cleveland Browns News

Cleveland Browns stick with Deshaun Watson under center for their next game against Tampa Bay, despite a rough opening loss to Jacksonville where he threw for over 200 yards and a TD but also took five sacks and lost the ball. Coach Todd Monken praised Watson’s film performance, sidelining rookie Shedeur Sanders for now. With Watson’s return from a 2024 absence still fresh, the Browns’ offensive line struggles and 11 penalties demand attention. They head to Tampa aiming to avoid a 0-2 start, and how Watson leads the charge will be closely watched.
