Watson's Blame Game After Browns Loss | Cleveland Browns News

The Browns’ season opener was a disaster, losing 34-10 to the Jaguars as Watson’s third pass was intercepted and they trailed 24-0 at halftime. With little offense and no touchdowns until the fourth quarter, the team’s struggles are compounded by Watson’s recent comments blaming the media for unrealistic expectations—calling out the pressure to throw for 400 yards and five TDs weekly. Critics say his performance hasn’t matched his hefty contract, especially after throwing just 14 TDs in his last two seasons. Fans are furious, calling his remarks tone-deaf, especially after he previously called fans “disrespectful” during preseason. The Browns now face the Buccaneers before their home opener—and Watson needs a breakout game to start winning over doubters.
