Saban Rumors & Manning Speculation | Cleveland Browns News

Cleveland Browns fans are already buzzing about 2027 QB rumors—despite just one game into 2026—with wild speculation linking owner Jimmy Haslam to Nick Saban, not as head coach but possibly as a mentor for Texas’s Arch Manning. The rumor, floated by ESPN Cleveland’s Tony Rizzo, suggests Saban could help groom Manning, though it’s unconfirmed and likely fueled by frustration with the team’s direction. Fans are calling it desperation, questioning Haslam’s moves, and criticizing the push for a college QB before the current season even ends. Manning’s draft status is uncertain, and even if Cleveland gets him, his stats haven’t been eye-popping yet. Plus, Saban’s past connection to the Browns—as their defensive coordinator in the ‘90s—adds a nostalgic twist to this chaotic rumor mill.
