Baker Mayfield returns to face his former team, the Cleveland Browns, in Tampa’s home opener — a high-stakes showdown for the quarterback who once led them to playoff glory and now thrives with a new $165M contract. After a rocky start to the season, Mayfield’s resurgence in Tampa includes two Pro Bowls and glowing praise from current Browns OC Todd Monken, who remembers him as fiercely intelligent and driven. With history on the line — including a bitter loss to Cleveland in 2022 — Mayfield aims to dazzle his new fans and prove he’s more than just a former first-round pick.
