Browns Stumble in Season Opener | Cleveland Browns News

The Browns got crushed 34-10 by the Jaguars in their season opener, as Jacksonville’s offense exploded for 31 points before Cleveland even scored. Deshaun Watson struggled in his first regular-season game since 2024, throwing a TD and an INT, while Cleveland’s offense sputtered with two turnovers and eleven penalties for 75 yards. Trevor Lawrence shredded the Browns’ defense, throwing for 160+ yards and three TDs in the first half alone. The only bright spots? Raheim Sanders’ 74-yard kickoff return leading to a field goal, and rookie Denzel Boston’s 46-yard touchdown catch. Now, they head to Tampa to face the Buccaneers — a tough loss, but the season’s far from over.
