Browns Promote Zappe as Sanders' Backup

The Cleveland Browns are shaking up their quarterback lineup, promoting Bailey Zappe from the practice squad to backup rookie starter Shedeur Sanders for Sundays game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Zappe, who has limited experience within the Browns system, last played in a regular-season game against the Baltimore Ravens, where he completed 51.6% of his passes, threw one touchdown, and two interceptions. The Browns are hoping for a smooth game, but Zappes presence provides a valuable safety net. DNN | The Daily News Now! The world’s first global local news network. Every city. Every story.
