Browns' OC Defends Watson Amid Struggles | Cleveland Browns News

Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Todd Monken is defending quarterback Deshaun Watson, arguing it’s unfair to blame the team’s struggles solely on him—since he’s just one of 53 players—and that the entire roster and coaching staff are under scrutiny. With Watson’s massive contract and ongoing performance issues, the debate centers on whether ownership prioritized protecting their investment over actual on-field results. Analysts suggest the Browns may be in a tough spot, potentially even considering tanking, which could put Monken’s job security at risk as he tries to balance loyalty to his QB with the pressure to turn things around.
